In 1986, with only one small batch roster and three employees, Marion Smith and his son Craig opened the doors to Whitley’s. As we approach our 40th Anniversary in 2026, what began as a passion for sharing the finest Virginia peanuts has grown under the leadership of owner and President, Todd Smith, and his son Brett into a beloved family brand known for exceptional quality, fresh-roasted flavor, and genuine customer care.

December marks a milestone for one of the valued members of our sales team. After nearly a decade as our Inside Sales Lead, Susanne retired to spend more with her family, travel and pursue new interests. Never one to let a challenge go by without tackling it head on or lighten the mood with her quick wit and charm, Susanne’s contributions to Whitley’s during her tenure will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure to work with her. We wish Susanne the best of luck in this exciting new chapter of her life.

This annual award program, also known as the America Graphic Design Awards, is their original end-of-the-year best-of-year flagship. Open to the entire design community, it recognizes excellence in two dozen categories.
From the more than 6,000 entries, less than 10% are recognized and we proud to be associated with such an elite group. We’d like to extend our thanks to Christy Keeler from PaigeDesign. For more than a decade, Christy has been the creative force behind our catalog designs and truly deserving of this recognition from the AGDA. |
